El Gazzar Follows Up On The Ongoing Projects In West Carrefour

Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, follows up on the implementation projects of the Urban Settlement in West Carrefour area in Alexandria, which covers 419.74 acres, Invest Gate reports.

El Gazzar explains that the development of the Urban Settlement in West Carrefour is carried out through two stages. The first stage is the implementation of the housing projects, which include the implementation of “Sawari Towers” by the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA).

Sawari Towers is a luxury housing project of 64 residential towers, comprising 3,068 housing units. The first phase of the project covers ​​60 acres. It offers residential units with spaces ranging between 130 and 280sqm, the ministerial statement reveals.

Additionally, El Gazzar declares that the villas project is underway on an area of ​​57 acres, comprising 310 villas, in addition to the implementation of utilities and roads work.

The second stage is the “Together We Build The Future” initiative, which includes the signing of a cooperation protocol between the NUCA, the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, and a number of investors.

This initiative aims to develop an area of ​​250 acres in the Urban Settlement in West Carrefour, Alexandria, through implementing projects in the partnership system and in-kind shares. The partnership plots include projects activities (integrated urban – administrative – commercial – recreational, and clubs).

Ahmed Ibrahim, head of the New Rashid City Development Authority and supervisor of the Urban Settlement in West Carrefour, states that the implementation rate has reached 44% for the first phase of 15 residential towers, and 24% for the second phase of 49 towers, with a total investment of EGP 5.5 bn.

Moreover, the implementation rate of the villas project has reached 25%, with investments of EGP 900 mn. In addition, the volume of investments in utilities and roads work is estimated at EGP 700mn, the ministerial statement adds.
