Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, inspects the implementation of underway projects in New Sohag on an area of 30,351.01 feddans, Invest-Gate reports.

Mostafa Harb, Head of the New Sohag Development Authority, notes that 42 buildings are under construction including 1,008 residential 90-sqm units in the fifth phase of the presidential initiative Housing for All Egyptians for low-income citizens.

Harb adds that a new children’s hospital is underway in an area of 6.6 feddans at the service center of the city, including a basement and 6 floors.

He reveals that 4 shopping malls are also under construction including 4 marketplaces.

The top official says that many electricity projects are underway in the city, along with road projects.

Harb unveils that the city also hosts agricultural projects offering total green spaces of 55,000 sqm.
