Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities concluded his tour in New Cairo by inspecting ongoing road development projects aimed at improving traffic flow and access to the New Administrative Capital (NAC), Invest-Gate reports.
Accompanied by top officials, El-Gazzar stressed the need to adhere to deadlines and deliver the highest quality work on projects to upgrade key road axes across the city.
The projects are part of the government’s broader plan to improve transportation networks east of Cairo and link new urban centers.
The minister toured the extension of 90th Street from Royal Club Square to the Middle Road, which is being expanded to six lanes in each direction. His team also inspected progress on Axis 24, a 10 km thoroughfare that will have six lanes in each direction plus service roads.
Additionally, El-Gazzar visited Axis 28, which connects to the Central Ring Road, and the Security Directorate Road in the First Settlement. He emphasized the importance of easing congestion and enabling citizens to move efficiently through the expanding urban area.
