El-Gazzar Monitors Housing, Service Projects in New Qena City

Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Assem El-Gazzar, along with Ayman Rashad, Head of the New Qena City Development Authority, have been monitoring the progress of various housing and service projects in the city, Invest-Gate reports.

These projects are being implemented on 29,485 acres northeast of Qena, on the Qena/Safaga road at the 8th km.

El-Gazzar clarified that for the Housing for All Egyptians presidential initiative units, the city includes 6,800 housing units, which are being implemented in multiple areas.

Also, El-Gazzar emphasized the need to continue the efforts in implementing the projects, especially the service projects in the city, to meet the housing needs of residents and visitors. He also mentioned that around 49 diverse service buildings have been or are being constructed in the city.

Additionally, 10,558 small and diverse residential land plots have been allocated, including social housing, Beit Al-Watan, and distinguished housing, to enable citizens to build their own homes. Furthermore, various investment lands have been allocated.

Moreover,  Ayman Rashad, Head of the New Qena City Development Authority, explained that the city’s service projects include a security building, eight schools (seven of which are operational, with one school being implemented in the third district), three health units, an ambulance building, a hospital, three football fields, a youth center, 14 public service buildings, eight nurseries (six of which have been implemented, with two under construction), a mosque, and eight commercial markets (six of which are operational, with two under construction), for EGP 595 mn.

Rashad further mentioned that in terms of investment in service lands, eight land plots have been allocated for educational activities, 27 land plots for “commercial and service” activities, four land plots for banking activities, four land plots for various medical activities, three land plots for “recreational” activities, 15 land plots for storage activities, and seven land plots for comprehensive urban, mixed urban, and residential clusters, with a total area of 278 acres.
