El-Gazzar Nods to One-Month Extension to Reservation Payment for Land

Minister of Housing Assem El-Gazzar approves a one-month extension to the reservation payments for small residential plots of land in new cities, Invest-Gate reports.

The New Urban Communities Authority’s (NUCA) board of directors has granted the extension for clients who applied from 2017 until the date of the announcement, allowing them to complete reservation advances and submit post-dated checks. This decision was made in response to requests submitted by clients.

Amin Ghoneim, Vice President of the NUCA for Real Estate and Commercial Affairs, says that the extension will be subject to certain conditions; the plots of land previously allocated shall still be vacant and have not been re-offered, and the clients must agree to deal with the current prices for each city as determined by the authority’s pricing committee.

The clients must also sign an acknowledgment agreeing to adhere to the general requirements and financial and real estate conditions mentioned in the terms of reference, and waive any lawsuits filed against the Authority or its devices, Ghoneim adds.
