Assem El-Gazzar, the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has been following up on the projects implemented by the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater, Invest-Gate reports.

El-Gazzar has been in contact with Mamdouh Raslan, Chairman of the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater, to discuss the progress of these projects.

El-Gazzar emphasized the government’s strong commitment to the development of drinking water and sanitation projects across different governorates of Egypt, particularly in rural areas. This commitment is evident through the implementation of the Haya Karima presidential initiative, which aims to improve the living conditions in the Egyptian countryside, in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 for sustainable development.

Raslan assured that the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater and its subsidiary companies will continue to provide excellent services to citizens in the drinking water and sanitation sector.

Raslan highlighted the achievements of the Assiut and New Valley Water and Wastewater Company, stating that in 2023, they were able to enhance the quality of life for citizens in 149 rural areas across seven centers in Assiut Governorate. These improvements were made possible through the implementation of projects under the Haya Karima presidential initiative.
