Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El-Gazzar held a meeting at the headquarters of the New Alamein City Authority for the third consecutive week to follow up on the progress of ongoing projects in the city, Invest-Gate reports.
The meeting focused on the detailed status of each project, including the number of workers and equipment at the sites. Officials from the New Urban Communities Authority and the head of the city were present during the meeting.
El-Gazzar emphasized the need to continue accelerating project completion in accordance with set timelines as well as increasing the workforce and equipment at various sites.
He stressed the importance of daily, regular and thorough monitoring of the project phases. El-Gazzar highlighted that the projects in New Alamein City are among the most significant ongoing projects due to the city’s prime location.
Moreover, El-Gazzar toured various projects under construction in New Alamein City. He visited the Beach Towers area to assess the progress of work. The facades of 15 completed towers and the ongoing interior finishing are being finalized. Additional towers are also under construction.
El-Gazzar visited the completed entertainment area in the heart of the Beach Towers area, directly overlooking the sea. The entertainment area features a garage accommodating 3,000 cars and several shops. Officials from the New Urban Communities Authority and the city accompanied El-Gazzar during the tour.
Furthermore, El-Gazzar also inspected the Mazareen residential, commercial, and administrative compound, developed on a 707-acre area along the southern shore of Alamein lakes, providing a view of the Beach Towers. The compound includes various types of villas, chalets, and buildings, with 618 villas, 552 chalets, and 364 buildings comprising 8,691 units.
Notably, the minister visited the Heritage City project in New Alamein City, built on a 260-acre area. The project encompasses around 70 facilities, including the main lake, central park, mosque, church, Roman theater, opera house, commercial and hotel buildings in the old district, and a cinema complex.
