Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El-Gazzar has convened a meeting in the Green Belt area of 6th of October City to oversee the status of land regularization requests in the region, Invest-Gate reports.
Attendees included Walid Abbas, Deputy Head of the New Urban Communities Authority for Planning and Projects – overseeing the Minister’s Office, along with Abdulmotalib Mamdouh, Deputy Head of the Authority for Development and Urbanization, and Abdelkhalek Ibrahim, Assistant Minister of Housing for Technical Affairs.
Also, the attendees included Wael Shaaban, Ahmed Moussa, Assistant Vice President of the Authority, Adel El Naggar, President of the 6th of October City Authority, and Ahmed Abdelrazek, President of Sheikh Zayed City Authority.
Moreover, El-Gazzar delved into the details of the Green Belt area’s plan in 6th of October City and its land uses, urging officials to optimize land utilization. He emphasized creating sustainable developmental opportunities to generate financial returns for sustaining regional services and growth.
Furthermore, El-Gazzar reviewed the ongoing infrastructure projects in the Green Belt area, including roadworks, water networks, lifting drinking water, sewage networks, sewage lifters, irrigation networks, electrical works, main boulevard implementation from the Axis to the Central Ring Road, and necessary industrial works.
Notably, Adel El Naggar stated receiving 2032 requests to regularize land status in the Green Belt area, spanning 11,970 acres. Additionally, 1,800 parcels, covering 330 acres, were allocated to compensate for lands east of the railway.
El Naggar presented the status of ministry contracts and decisions, highlighting the allocation of four land parcels totaling 56 acres for mixed-use (residential, commercial, administrative, and school) activities from the Authority’s share in the area.
