Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El-Gazzar has chaired a meeting to monitor the development rates of the Northwestern Coast lands, Invest-Gate reports.

Present were ministry officials, the New Urban Communities Authority, and the head of the Technical Inspection Authority for Construction Works.

El-Gazzar emphasized the need for regular and thorough follow-up on the implementation rates of tourism projects, preparing periodic monitoring reports according to contracts and approved implementation programs.

Also, this aims to achieve the desired development for the Northwestern Coastlands. El-Gazzar directed strict enforcement of applicable regulations in case of non-compliance with specified timelines.

He noted that Egypt’s Decision No. 361 of 2020 had allocated approximately 707,234.50 feddans of land towards the Northwestern Coast for the New Urban Communities Authority.

Notably, this allocation is intended for establishing new urban communities. El-Gazzar affirmed that the political leadership’s directives emphasize the development of the Northwestern Coast according to planning principles and standards. This includes ensuring optimal land utilization, attracting domestic and international investments, and providing new job opportunities.
