El Gazzar Visits CED’s Headquarters to Follow Up on Latest Projects

Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar paid a visit on July 16 to City Edge Developments’ (CED) headquarters in Sheikh Zayed, west Cairo, to follow up on the company’s latest projects in Egypt, Invest-Gate reports.  

The minister discussed with the real estate developer’s board, notably CEO of CED Amr El Kady, the strategic plans set for the upcoming period, including residential and commercial investments, according to a recent official statement. 

Additionally, El Gazzar met with a number of CED’s employees and praised their constant efforts in improving the quality of projects’ implementation, while hailing the achievements made since the company’s foundation last year.

Established in 2017, CED is 60% owned by the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) and 38% by Housing and Development Bank (HDB). It currently implementing a diverse range of projects across Egypt, notably The Gate, Mazarine, and North Edge Towers in New Alamein, ETAPA and ETAPA Square in Sheikh Zayed, amongst others. 

On July 3, CED held a press conference to uncover The Gate and Mazarine, New Alamein’s latest coastal towers, where El Kady remarked, “We are currently in need of urban landmarks and distinct real estate buildings that reflect the economic revival of Egypt in recent years. [Both] projects strongly support our presence on the map of the national project and fourth-generation cities.
