Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Assem El-Gazzar and Governor of Aswan Ashraf Attia inspect the tourist river strip projects, which extends over 1,050 acres in New Aswan City, Invest -Gate reports.
During the official tour, El Gazzar praises the quality of implementing work and stresses the commitment to timetable for this important project, which will be a distinctive feature on the Nile River, the ministerial statement discloses.
The first phase of the tourist river strip covers 181 acres, encompassing two villa areas with 150 villas. The project also includes a 1500m- tourist walkway, which comprises a bike path and shops suitable for all activities to serve the project.
Additionally, the tourist river strip features a 6 km- Nile Promenade, which includes tourist bazaars, shops, cafes, pedestrian tunnels and paths, tourist marinas, children’s play areas, wooden pergolas, seats and a car park.
Moreover, it includes an open theater with a space of five and a half acres, accommodating 3000 spectators with a panoramic view of the Nile River and attached to parking space for 300 cars. The tourist river strip also includes pedestrian bridges to connect between the Nile Walk and luxury residential area (villas). In a parallel context, El Gazzar reveals that the total investments in New Aswan City have reached EGP 3.3 mn during the past seven years, the ministerial statement adds.
