Assem El Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, witnesses the completion of pouring the first part of the concrete works of the Iconic Tower in New Alamein City, Invest-Gate reports.
The China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) is implementing the tower, and it is self-funded by the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA). The Iconic Tower is similar to the towers of the Central Business District in the NAC.
The Downtown Towers project in New Alamein City features five fully finished and serviced residential towers, overlooking an artificial lake, besides Iconic Tower with a height of more than 250 meters (68 floors) with a total area of 463,000 sqm.
The implementation is scheduled to be completed in June 2025 in parallel with four towers with a height of 200 meters for the tower (54 floors) with a total area of 632,000 sqm, which is scheduled to be completed in December 2024.
El Gazzar explains that the total amount of concrete that is poured into the first part of the concrete work of the Iconic Tower is 56,000 m3, with the rest of 14,000 m3 for the second part of the concrete work.
Additionally, the Ministry aims to make New Alamein City a destination for international tourism, such as Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh. This is achieved by providing the city with several activities and different services, in order to be suitable for residence throughout the year.
