El Gouna, one of Orascom Development’s integrated and sustainable cities in the Red Sea Governorate, has announced the official opening of Fanadir Marina, Invest-Gate reports.

Covering an area of 30,600 sqm, it has a capacity to accommodate 80 yachts ranging from 12 m to 14 m in length. Fanadir Marina, along with Fanadir Marina Signature Residence, also features a commercial area spanning 6,000 sqm of rental space, housing over 38 shops and celebrated restaurants.

The development of the Fanadir Marina project in El Gouna aims to provide customers with new and diverse experiences and a renewed lifestyle, while ensuring continuous development in all facilities and services. The master plan for Fanadir Marina was designed by EDSA, a leading urban planning firm, in collaboration with the architectural engineering office SB Architects, which boasts over 60 years of experience in designing luxury residential projects.

Mohamed Amer, CEO of El Gouna, stated, “Fanadir Marina represents a new concept of coastal living in El Gouna, offering world-class amenities and entertainment, and positioning El Gouna as a premier integrated tourism destination.” He further expressed pride in Fanadir Marina, highlighting that El Gouna is the largest operator of private marinas in Egypt, with four marinas operating at full capacity and a total capacity exceeding 680 yachts.

Amer emphasized the significant contribution of Fanadir Marina to enhancing El Gouna’s capabilities in yacht tourism, a type of tourism that receives great attention from the state due to its positive impact on the Egyptian economy. Yacht tourism serves as an important source of foreign currency inflows, and the state seeks to attract more tourists to experience the unique yachting offerings in distinguished tourist destinations like El Gouna. The city’s strategic location on the Red Sea coast and advanced infrastructure further enhance its appeal.
