El Gouna, the fully integrated sustainable town by Orascom Development, celebrates its 35th anniversary with the Red Sea’s first-ever culinary event featuring a combined 35 Michelin stars — a milestone that reinforces the town’s reputation as a destination for global dining excellence, Invest-Gate reports.
The four-day event, taking place in November, will feature exclusive fine-dining experiences and interactive masterclasses led by world-renowned Michelin-starred chefs. Each chef will craft signature dishes using 35 locally sourced ingredients, celebrating El Gouna’s longstanding commitment to sustainability, community, and gastronomy.
The celebration also marks the launch of La Maison Bleue Residences (LMBR) — a new waterfront residential project inspired by the iconic La Maison Bleue Hotel, offering hotel-managed living spaces that blend artful design with cultural authenticity.
Mohamed Amer, CEO of El Gouna and Executive Board Member at Orascom Development Egypt, said: “We are proud to bring together the largest number of Michelin-starred chefs ever assembled in one place. As we mark 35 years of El Gouna, this event and the launch of La Maison Bleue Residences reaffirm our commitment to innovation and to delivering world-class experiences that rival those of the world’s greatest cities.”
The festivities will culminate in a Gala Dinner at Botanica, the Middle East’s first hydroponic restaurant, where Michelin-starred dishes will be prepared from fresh, soil-free, homegrown ingredients. This farm-to-table showcase underscores El Gouna’s pioneering role in sustainable gastronomy.
Among the headlining chefs are Norbert Niederkofler, the Italian three-Michelin-starred and Green Star recipient known for his nature-based philosophy; Himanshu Saini, owner of the first Indian restaurant to earn three Michelin stars; Fabrizio Mellino, the youngest chef with three stars; and Daniel Hadida and Eric Robertson, both awarded two Michelin stars and a Green Star in 2025. They will be joined by Ariel Hagen, Sara Aqel, Salah Bin Taleb, Tamara Rigo, Mattia Spedicato, and Federico Balzarini.
This landmark event sets a new benchmark for Egypt and the Red Sea, positioning El Gouna as a global hub for culinary innovation and sustainable luxury living.
