El Sherbini Announces Deadline for Submitting Requests for Building Violation Reconciliation, Regularization

Sherif El Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has announced that there are 42 days remaining for accepting requests for reconciling building violations and formalizing their status, Invest-Gate reports.

This process aligns with Law No. 187 of 2023 concerning the reconciliation of certain building violations and their legalization, including its executive regulations, with November 4 marking the final date for submission of requests.

El Sherbini underscored that the primary objective of the reconciliation law is geared towards fostering urban development to attain a sophisticated and harmonious urban landscape, particularly in emerging cities. The aim is to address a substantial number of building violations and regularize their status, offering numerous benefits to citizens. These advantages encompass the official integration of utilities into properties, an enhancement in property market value, and various other perks.

Furthermore, El Sherbini highlighted that a committee established by the Ministry of Housing is currently compiling a comprehensive guidebook comprising queries and responses related to the law and its executive regulations.

This booklet is set to be released shortly, disseminated to all relevant administrative bodies and committees involved in law implementation, and made accessible to citizens electronically. This proactive measure reflects the state’s commitment to educating citizens, acquainting them with the law, and addressing all queries pertaining to its provisions.
