El Sisi Issues Clear Directives to Follow up on Rufiji River: Minister

Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar confirmed that there are clear directives from President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to look into the executive status of Rufiji River project in Tanzania, Invest-Gate reports. The project is being implemented by Arab Contractors and El Sewedy Electric Co, according to a ministerial statement on February 13. The minister noted that there will be a focus on following up on the implementation of social projects as part of the state’s plan to achieve social justice, as well as new cities to stimulate urban expansion, and offer job and investment opportunities. He stated that extending the sewage services to the country’s various villages is on the ministry’s priorities agenda, stressed that he will work on continuing the projects Prime Minister Madbouly initiated.
