Elsewedy Electric for Transmission & Distribution of Energy, signs a new contract with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Electricity and Water, to supply and install overhead transmission lines with a value of KD 16.1 mn to connect Boubyan’s main distribution substation, Invest-Gate reports.

The project will provide electricity to the Boubyan-Island area in Kuwait, near the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port Project, which is one of the important projects currently being implemented by the Ministry of Public Works. The project aims at developing and modernizing maritime transportation and creating alternative sources of national income, to the State of Kuwait.

Elsewedy Electric’s scope of work covers Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of the entire Project, on a turnkey-basis; and should be completed within 30 months from the project commencement date.
