Elsewedy Industrial Development, a subsidiary of Elsewedy Electric signs a memorandum of understanding with German multinational company BASF to build a green logistics hub in the Sokhna 360 industrial area, Invest-Gate reports.
The logistics hub will be situated over 470,000 sqm. It is intended to be the first sustainable and integrated industrial city in the heart of Egypt’s internal and external trade center.
The hub will accommodate green projects and pave the way for improved industrial production processes and resource-efficient productivity.
“BASF trusted that Sokhna 360 suited their aspirations to allocate their first green logistic hub, assuring the high standards of safety, technology, integration and sustainability. This collaboration is a great step towards boosting the green economy in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030” Mohamed El Kamah, CEO of Elsewedy Industrial Development, comments.
