Dubai-based property developer Emaar announced on December 11 the launch of its business development operations in China during the Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to the UAE, Invest-Gate reports.
The giant developer has recruited a team of business development professionals and started the design and fit-out of two premium offices in the Central Business District (CBD) of Beijing and Shanghai, according to a company’s statement.
Emaar aims to promote the UAE as a growing investment hub, while showcasing the flagship via its ongoing premium lifestyle, shopping, hospitality developments, and touristic destinations in Dubai, the statement showed.
The developer also seeks to collaborate with the UAE embassy in China to attract more Chinese investors, adding up to UAE Ambassador to China Ali Obaid Al Daheri’s efforts to reinforce the binary ties between the two countries by fostering trade relations and tourism, as well as highlighting the UAE’s appeal as a growing investment destination.
“The diverse international educational opportunities such as New York University and Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi – a keen requirement by Chinese investors in property – as well as the healthcare amenities that are available close to Emaar’s communities are highlighted at the state-of-the-art showrooms,” the developer of the iconic Burj Khalifa noted in the statement.
“Today, Emaar’s hotels are among the most-preferred by Chinese visitors, given their central location and access to lifestyle destinations such as The Dubai Mall,” Emaar added.
The news comes in line with the “Belt and Road Initiative” announced by President Jinping, in which the UAE will have a significant part to play.
“Chinese visitors can enjoy visa-on-arrival and have effortless connectivity with the city with Emirates operating to the key cities in China,” the statement concluded.
