Emaar Misr announces contracting five of the largest companies to start implementing the construction works of phase 1 of Cairo Gate at an approximate value of EGP 1.4 bn, Invest-Gate reports.
The five companies that have been awarded the construction works for the first phase of Cairo Gate are Kharafi National, which has been appointed to develop the basic infrastructure for the entire project; Dorra Constructions for the infrastructure and construction of 117 villas in Elan; Concrete Plus for 107 villas in Eden; Gama Construction for 329 apartments across seven buildings in Grand Residences; and Leeds General Contracting for developing the mockup villas.
Cairo Gate is Emaar Misr’s first gateway into West Cairo, centrally located in Sheikh Zayed. The project highlights the beauty and distinction of the area by creating an exclusive community for those looking for a distinctive lifestyle surrounded by wide green spaces and various services. The project includes Vida Serviced Residences, which boasts a distinctive character, a unique world of simplicity, and high-end design combining unmatched vitality with uninterrupted privacy and comfort. It also includes TownSquare, an exclusive mixed commercial club that houses shopping stores, fine dining and boutique offices, as well as ‘Rays’ social club that delivers high-end services to suit the integrated lifestyle.
Mohamed Alabbar, founder of Emaar Properties, says, “Emaar Misr’s business has been growing strongly since its entry to Egypt more than 15 years ago. During that period, the company’s land portfolio reached more than 17.4 million square meters in five strategically distinct locations in East, West, and Central Cairo, as well as in the North Coast. The volume of investments reached EGP 200 bn.”

Emaar Misr laid the foundation stone for the Cairo Gate project in October 2020 as part of the celebration of launching the second phase of the project after the success of the first phase. It is the company’s first project west of Cairo on an area of 133 feddans in the heart of Sheikh Zayed City. Investments of EGP 1.4 bn have been earmarked to build villas, apartments, serviced residences, a business area, commercial area and integrated services.
