Emaar Misr announced hosting an international golf tournament at Marassi North Coast in the Address Golf Resort from January 24 to 26, 2026, as part of a series of international golf tournaments organized in collaboration with the Egyptian Golf Federation and the MENA Golf Tour. This initiative aligns with its vision to enhance Egypt’s position on the global sports tourism map and establish Marassi North Coast as an integrated year-round destination, Invest-Gate reports.

96 Professional and Amateur Players from Multiple Nationalities Participate

The first tournament featured 96 professional and amateur players from the UK, Europe, and Gulf countries across age categories starting from 20 years old and above, reflecting the international nature of the event and enhancing Marassi North Coast’s presence on Egypt’s winter golf calendar. A second tournament is scheduled later from January 29 to 31, 2026.

English Player Chris Wood Wins First Place; Egyptian Adam El-Shamy Named Best Egyptian Player

The first tournament concluded with English player Chris Wood claiming first place after a strong performance that reflected the high competitive level of the event, winning a cash prize of $18,000. Egyptian player Adam El-Shamy was awarded Best Egyptian Player, marking the growing presence of Egyptian golfers on the competitive scene.
