Emaar Properties is the top-ranked developer on the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat’s (CTBUH) list of tallest buildings in the world, joined by two other Dubai companies in the top 5.

Emaar shares the number one spot with the Chinese Greenland Group while two Hong Kong based companies share third place. Fellow Dubai-based companies Emirates Airline and Tameer Holding are among the firms tied for the fifth spot.

Emaar is the developer of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest tower in the world, and has recently broken ground on its newest project, the 928-meter tall project simply dubbed The Tower, scheduled for completion in 2020.

The list by the CTBHU sorts companies according to the number of buildings they have on the CTBHU’s list of the world’s 100 tallest buildings.
