EMAC Contracting, an affiliate of Kuwait’s Al Kharafi & Sons Group, concluded the construction of 121 residential buildings for the low-income earners, reported Amwal Al Ghad.

The total investment of the new housing scheme is worth EGP 300 million ($33.7 million) and is distributed among various governorates.

About 86 buildings were built across Sohag, Behiera, Gamasa, Borg Al-Arab, Abu Zaabal and Wadi El Natrun at a cost of EGP 215 million. Another 10 buildings were constructed in New Minya, worth EGP 30 million, and 25 buildings built in El-Ayat in Giza are worth EGP 55 million.

Over the next few years, EMAC is planning to expand its share of construction of the social housing scheme.
