Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), a UAE-based company, has finished the district cooling infrastructure project network at Damac Towers by Paramount, Trade Arabia reported on Monday.
Empower signed the contract to provide cooling services to the project in 2014, aiming to deliver 7,500 refrigeration tonnes (RT) through its second district cooling plant in Business Bay.
The company currently has a district cooling capacity of around 1 mn RT and holds a market share of 70% in the UAE, according to its website. The company was founded in 2003 as a joint venture between the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) and TECOM Investments.
Damac Towers by Paramount Hotels & Resorts is a four tower complex in the Burj area of Dubai, featuring 1,200 luxury serviced apartments in three of the towers while the fourth will house the Paramount Hotel as well as the Paramount Residences.
