Entelaq has announced the launch of the third edition of the Egyptian Entrepreneurship Sector Diagnostic Report (SDR 2025), set to take place from 25–26 September in El Gouna, the Red Sea town developed by Orascom Development. The summit is held under the patronage of the Ministerial Committee for Entrepreneurship, the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, and the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, Invest-Gate reports.
Hosted at Abu Tig Marina, the event will inaugurate Abu Tig Island, El Gouna’s newest venue, bringing together ministers, senior officials, global experts, leading entrepreneurs, and more than 40 investors, funds, and development partners to discuss the future of entrepreneurship in Egypt.
Omar Rezk, Managing Director at Entlaq, said the report represents “an important milestone in monitoring Egypt’s entrepreneurship scene,” adding that it provides a strategic vision based on data and analysis to guide future growth.
Mohamed Amer, CEO of El Gouna and Managing Director at Orascom Development Egypt, highlighted the town’s role as a hub for entrepreneurs and investors, citing initiatives such as G-Space and the upcoming G-Valley. “Hosting SDR 2025 reaffirms our role in fostering jobs, attracting investment, and supporting an innovation-driven economy,” he said.
The summit will focus on policies to drive sector growth, financial inclusion, green financing, cross-border capital flows, and the role of entrepreneurship in community development, particularly youth support and women’s empowerment.
By hosting SDR 2025, El Gouna underscores its growing reputation as a year-round destination for culture, sports, arts, and entrepreneurship, offering an environment that nurtures creativity and collaboration.
