The 2025 Esports World Cup (EWC) officially launched on July 7 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, bringing together the world’s top esports players, global clubs, and gaming fans for an eight-week festival of competition and entertainment. Partnering with “Saudi, Welcome to Arabia,” the event runs until August 24, offering a unique blend of esports, culture, and hospitality, Invest-Gate reports.
This year’s edition features a record-breaking $70+ million prize pool, 25 tournaments across 24 global games, and over 2,000 players and 200 clubs from more than 100 countries.
Beyond the competition, the EWC offers a vibrant entertainment lineup, including an opening ceremony headlined by global music icon Post Malone, alongside cosplay shows, anime cafés, retro gaming arcades, and live concerts.
The event also invites visitors to discover Saudi Arabia’s diverse attractions, from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of At-Turaif in Diriyah and the lively streets of Riyadh to the stunning landscapes of AlUla and the serene Red Sea coastline—combining cultural heritage with modern entertainment as part of Saudi’s growing global tourism offering.
