Etisalat to Provide Smart Control Systems at NAC

Etisalat Misr has been awarded a contract by the Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD) for supplying, operating, and maintaining management control systems (MCSs) at the New Administrative Capital (NAC), Invest-Gate reports.

Etisalat Misr, which will offer technological solutions and technical support within the new capital alongside US-based Honeywell International as well as Misr Trade and Investment (MTI), will install some well-crafted integrated systems for digital services, according to a press release on December 5.

Ahmed Zaki Abdeen, chairman of ACUD, pinpointed that the move is in line with the state-run company’s wider strategy to make NAC the largest smart city worldwide in the near future.

After about 15 domestic and foreign companies competed for the tender, Etisalat Misr has been deemed the optimum operator for tech solutions in the new capital, Abdeen further stated.

According to the chairman, ACUD still seeks to set up new joint ventures with more foreign companies to operate its management centers and smart utilities for services such as electricity, energy, natural gas, and communication in NAC.
