Final Ceremony of MHFC is Held in Makadi Heights

The closing ceremony of Makadi Heights Football Cup (MHFC) for women and men is held in Makadi Heights, in the Red Sea governorate, from the 18th – 20th of March, in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Egypt Tourism Authority, and the Red Sea governorate, Invest-Gate reports

Representatives, along with CEO of Makadi Heights Tamer Dewidar awards the MHFC winners with the participation of Egypt’s famous footballers such as Emad Meteb, Essam El-Hadary, Karim Fahmy, Hesham Maged and Nader Hamdy, who have previously played in the national team.

Ahmed Youssef, CEO of Egypt Tourism Authority, applauds the tournament as a resumption of Egypt’s success in organizing various activities considering the spread of the pandemic.

Youssef further points to the authority’s effective role in promoting tourism in Egypt through participation in the Makadi Heights Football Cup, which coincides with the authority’s celebration of the 40th anniversary of its establishment as a strategic arm of the Ministry of Tourism.

Amr Mamdouh, director of the International Sports Cooperation Department for the General Administration of Tourism and Sporting Events in the Ministry of Youth and Sports, says that Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sport, is always interested in investing in the sports sector that can stimulate tourism in the Red Sea, such as the Makadi Heights Football Cup.

Tamer Dewidar, CEO of Makadi Heights, also expresses his happiness with the great success and presence at the tournament, praising the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Egypt Tourism Authority, and the Red Sea Governor for their role in supporting the tournament and providing all necessary facilities.

Dewidar notes, over 400 players aged 18 and over, with more than 30 men and 10 women’s football teams, participate in the Makadi Heights Football Cup, which was started at the Al Gezira Sports Club from 27 – 28 February, and at the Maadi Club from 12 – 13 March.
