Finland to Increase Investments in Egypt’s Renewable Energy Projects

Finland seeks to increase its investments in Egypt’s renewable energy projects, Invest-Gate reports.

Finnish Ambassador to Egypt Laura Kansikas-Debraise confirms his country’s plan to increase its investments in the field of renewable energy in Egypt as well as to allocate EUR 305 mn to clean the River Nile, in addition to the lakes of Burullus and Manzala.

Finland is also establishing a large fish farm in East Port Said at a total investment cost of EGP 275 mn, the ambassador says.

The statements come at a meeting between the Finnish ambassador and Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr, during which they focus on means of boosting cooperation, especially after the Egyptian parliament passed the long-awaited Investment Law No. 8.
