Gama Construction, Egypt’s leading design-build construction firm, has signed a deal to build the first factory in Egypt and Africa for BSH Home Appliances, Europe’s largest home appliances maker, Invest-Gate reports.

The factory will come up in Egypt’s 10th of Ramadan city near Cairo on 160,000 sqm. The plant is slated to make German-designed cooking stoves, generating jobs.

Salah Ghobrial, Gama’s CEO, said the company has built many industrial facilities, enabling customized solutions to meet client needs.

“We are now building the world’s largest textile plant in El-Mahalla El-Kubra plus dyeing and textile units in Helwan and vaccines and biotech city,” he said.

Murad Gendy, board member and operations chief at BSH, said the plant’s commercial operations will start end of 2024 targeting 350,000 units annually.

Gama works in industrial plants, infrastructure including roads, bridges and transport, water, energy plus buildings like luxury homes, offices, malls, and sports facilities.
