The New Alamein City Authority has entrusted Giza Systems with the development of the COC Data Center in New Alamein City, a critical component of Egypt’s Vision 2030 for future urban development, Invest-Gate reports.
The data center will serve as the primary hub for the city, centralizing information to enable smarter decision-making and enhanced management of city resources.
Giza Systems’ scope for the project includes designing and implementing a fully integrated data center encompassing telecommunications, security systems, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) infrastructure, and architectural plans.
Moreover, the data center will ensure robust data protection and privacy while offering real-time insights to aid the New Alamein City Authority in overseeing the city’s operations.
For his part, Abdelhameed Magharba, Head of Electromechanical at the New Alamein City Authority, remarked, “The COC Data Center is pivotal in transforming New Alamein into a smart city. Our partnership with Giza Systems represents a significant step toward achieving this vision.”
Furthermore, Amr Sherif, General Manager of Giza Systems’ Digital Energy Line of Business, added, “We are honored to lead this transformative project. Our aim is to complete the COC Data Center within one year, delivering innovative solutions that will position New Alamein City as a model for smart cities across the region.”
This project underscores New Alamein City’s role as a cornerstone in Egypt’s push for sustainable and technologically advanced urban development.
