Gouna Hosts Fourth International Motocross Championship

El Gouna hosts the fourth edition of El Gouna International Motocross Championship on April 2-3 at the Motoclope Egypt, under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Invest-Gate reports.

The championship gathers more than 50 contestants from multiple countries, including Egypt, USA, and Canada, where 15 teams of men and three teams of women compete in five different categories: 150 cc, 250 cc, 450 cc, more than 450 cc AC, and ATV-class quad bikes, according to a press release on April 7.

On his part, Omar Al-Hamamsi, CEO of Orascom Development Holding Company, expresses his happiness at hosting the fourth edition of El Gouna International Motocross Championship. “We are proud to resume the tournament this year. It is an affirmation of the company’s commitment and continuous endeavor to promote tourism, and to make El Gouna a vital center for all sports, art, culture, and entrepreneurship activities in Egypt,” he highlights.

“El Gouna Championship aims to spread motocross sport in Egypt, to place the country among the countries organizing international tournaments in these competitions to attract tourism in Egypt and the city of El Gouna,” Hossam Fouad, the co-founder of Motocycle Egypt, is quoted as saying.
