Sherif El Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, and Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, led a steering committee meeting to accelerate the progress of the Maspero Triangle development project, Invest-Gate reports. The meeting included officials from the Ministry of Housing, the Cairo Governorate, and the Urban Development Fund.
El Sherbiny highlighted the government’s commitment to redeveloping unsafe areas in Cairo, including the Maspero Triangle, as part of its broader plan to revive historical Cairo. “This project reflects the leadership’s vision to restore Cairo’s cultural and historical significance while ensuring improved living standards for its residents,” he stated.
Moreover, the Maspero Triangle project includes a mix of residential, commercial, and administrative developments. It features a basement parking area for 353 vehicles, a ground floor with commercial spaces, and upper floors for parking. The project also includes four towers: two for alternative housing with 936 units already allocated to eligible residents, a 23-story residential tower with 134 units, and an administrative tower with 15 floors.
Additionally, work is underway on the Nile Maspero Towers, which consist of three residential buildings rising 30 floors each and offering 774 apartments. The towers will feature a suspended structure connecting them from the 26th floor, along with a base of commercial, administrative, and recreational spaces.
Governor Saber expressed gratitude for the ministry’s support, emphasizing ongoing collaboration to deliver developmental projects that benefit Cairo’s residents. The meeting concluded with a directive to establish a clear timeline for project completion and regular updates to monitor progress.
