Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar has revealed that 1,128 residential units (47 buildings) within phase II of Badr City’s Dar Misr middle-income housing project are 95% complete, Invest-Gate reports.
El Gazzar pointed out that beneficiaries will see the handover of their properties at the soonest, with no delays, according to an official statement on July 13.
On his part, Head of Badr City Development Authority Ammar Mandour highlighted that interior and exterior finishing of apartment buildings are done, while landscape and other related work are still underway.
He also emphasized that these final touches will be finalized in parallel with unit delivery, the statement indicated.
East Cairo’s Badr City is set to see the largest medical tourism city in the MENA region, with costs valued at EGP 20 bn. Works are currently ongoing on the 109-acre site, aiming for completion within five years, Mandour previously stated, noting that 90% of project investments are from Egyptians.
“The medical city will bring the latest in medical sciences, as well as modern techniques in medical devices,” the official was quoted as saying back then, adding, “The development will include 13 medical institutes, with a capacity of 2,000 beds, in addition to a medical helipad, a teaching hospital, and healing gardens.”
