Gov’t Announces Implementation of New Touristic Project at New Aswan City

Minister of Housing Mostafa Madbouly announced that the implementation of the first phase of  the touristic strip project in New Aswan City has started, Invest-Gate reports.

The 181-acre phase is located at the city’s front, overlooking the Nile.   The project includes two residential areas of 19 and 14 acres with 81 and 66 villas, respectively.

The phase also comprises a 1000-meter touristic walkway with shops and cafes, a 5-acre hotel, a 8.5-acre commercial area and a 24-acre garden.

Head of New Aswan City Authority Ahmed Rashad said that work in the project’s ring road and half the work in its internal roads have been completed, adding that the networks of water, sewage, electricity and telephone are currently being designed, in conjunction with the road construction.

The 1050-acre project is scheduled to be completed by June 2019. The tourist strip is located on the West Bank of the Nile.

Rashad said that the topography of the site has been taken into account, directing all the villas, as well as the general landscaping of the project, to have a direct view of the Nile.
