Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar has announced the extension of the online reservation period for 204 land plots in Upper Egypt’s New Mallawi for an additional week, Invest-Gate reports.
Offered by the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), parcel spaces vary between 289 and 971 square meters, allocated for residential purposes, El Gazzar confirmed in an official statement on July 9, noting that the move is aimed at luring more people to book such affordable lands.
According to the minister, the plots come with an upfront payment of EGP 50,000, in addition to various flexible payment plans. He also highlighted that reservation requests will be processed on a first-come-first-served basis.
Last October, El Gazzar said works are underway on nine new cities in Upper Egypt to accommodate a population of 4.5 mn, with total investments valued at EGP 11 bn; implemented over three phases, with phase I comprising New Toshka, New Aswan, West Assiut’s Nasser City, and West Qena, while the second includes New Fashn and New Mallawi, according to a previous statement.
