Gov’t Holds 1st Meeting for Egypt’s Participation in Expo 2020

The Ministry of Trade and Industry held the first meeting of the National Coordinating Committee to discuss Egypt’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, Invest-Gate reports.

Presided by Abdel Aziz El Sherif, head of the Export Development Authority, the meeting was held in the attendance of representatives of 25 official bodies including ministries and authorities.

The meeting aimed to review the development of works in the Egyptian Pavilion as well as the future plan of its completion and delivery to the exhibition as scheduled, he said, pointing out

The pavilion, which includes nine main sectors, spans across 3,000 square meters area, marking the biggest area Egypt has obtained in the history of its participation in the Expo.

Covering a total of 4.3 mn square meters (438 hectares), Expo 2020 Dubai is held every five years. The six-month event is expected to welcome 25 mn visitors and bring together 120 countries. The pavilion aims to promote Egypt in its investment, commercial and service sectors.

A team will be formed to communicate with the various parties concerned, receive proposals, and organize bilateral meetings to finalize the final arrangements for Egyptian participation in the exhibition as soon as possible.
