Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar has reduced fines and penalties for reconciliation in building code violations in new cities from 15% to 25%, Invest-Gate reports.
El Gazzar emphasized cutting fines and penalties in regard to building code violations across new cities comes within the government keenness to encourage the residents to reconcile with the state, according to a recent official statement.
El Gazzar indicated that rates differ from one city to another and are as follows: 15% in New Cairo, 20% in Shorouk City, 25% in Badr City and 15th of May City, in addition to 15% in Sheikh Zayed, and 20% in 6th of October City, New October, and October Gardens. This comes in addition to 25% in New Sphinx, as well as 20% in Obour City, New Obour, and New Damietta.
Meanwhile, reconciliation fines will be reduced to 25% in Sadat City, 10th of Ramadan City, New Salhia, New Nubaria, New Rashid, New Borg El Arab, New Alamein, New Fayoum, New Beni Suef, New Minya, New Assiut, New Sohag, New Akhmim, New Qena, West Qena, New Tiba, New Aswan, and New Toshka.
