Gov’t Successfully Finalizes EGP 8.5 bn Water Projects

The government successfully finalizes carrying out EGP 8.5 bn water projects which were halted three year ago, especially in New Cairo, 10th of Ramadan City and 6th of October City, Invest-Gate reports.

The government completed the implementation of a water station worth EGP 2.1 bn and with a capacity of 600,000 cubic meters per day in 10th of Ramadan City, Minister of Housing Mostafa Madbouly says.

In New Cairo, another EGP 3 bn water project with a capacity of 500,000 cubic meters per day started a few weeks ago, Madbouly adds.

The 6th of October City saw the launch of a 400,000 cubic meter water station worth EGP 2.8 bn in 2016.

The project of connecting a water line from the 10th of Ramadan City water station to the New Administrative Capital is valued at EGP 600 mn, with a capacity of 120,000 cubic meters per day, according to the President of Executive Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Greater Cairo and Alexandria Hassan Al-Far.
