The Egyptian Authority of Real Estate Proclamation and Notarization has signed a protocol with state-run e-finance company to digitize payment of all real estate-related services provided by the Real Estate Publicity Department as it attempts to provide a faster payment experience for citizens, Invest-Gate reports.

Through a website created in cooperation with the planning ministry, citizens will be able to pay for all real estate related services offered by the department electronically via various means, including credit cards, mail, or electronic points of sale which are available across Egypt, according to an official statement on October 15.

Electronic payment services include issuing notarization documents and obtaining official contract copies, according to the ministry, which also said that more services were being developed, such as ordering a copy of the authority’s periodical booklet.

As a primary stage, the new system will be implemented in Giza governorate and then Cairo, before it makes its public debut, the ministry noted, adding that the new system is under the patronage of ministries of justice and planning,

For her part, Minister of Planning Hala El-Saeed said the deal comes in line with the ministry’s administrative reform plan as well as the national sustainable development strategy, particularly in the real estate proclamation and notarization services, according to the statement.
