The Ministry of Housing is planning to launch the third phase of land tenders for residential projects under public-private partnership (PPP) after announcing the results of the second phase in April, Al Sherouk reports.

Phase three will include 10-12 land plots with a combined area of over 10,000 acres in New Al-Alamein, New Mansoura, West Qena, West Assuit, 6th of October, and Sheikh Zayed.

In phase two, 21 companies had made 36 offers for 12 land plots in four cities, with investments exceeding EGP 500 bn.

Minister of Housing Mostafa Madbouly said that the technical evaluation of the offers has been completed but the financial evaluation is still in progress.

“The next four years will witness the entry of the private sector in the new cities, which were developed by the government such as New Cairo, 6th of October, and others, ” he added.

The government is also expected to announce soon the results of its PPP tender for the development and management of 200 schools.
