The government plans to launch new units in the near future, Invest-Gate reports.
The Ministry of Housing is to offer 3-bedroom social housing units that are fully furnished and worth EGP 200,000, according to a source at the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) who preferred to remain anonymous.
The government will offer 20-year payment plan, with a EGP 25,000 worth of down payment.
Banks will provide mortgage finance for applicants for the purchase of these units if they meet all conditions.
