The government will partner with the United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN-Habitat) in a plan to upgrade residential units in Egyptian slums, Invest-Gate reports.
Minister of Housing Mostafa Madbouly has inked the agreement with Joan Clos, executive director of the UN-Habitat, according to a released statement.
In recent months, Egypt has been moving ahead with plans to develop the country’s slums and provide better housing conditions for citizens.
