The Housing Ministry is due to start constructing a  number of social housing units in the southern expansion of 15th of May City, Invest-Gate reports.

The ministry plans to establish 15,000 social housing units, according to the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Mostafa Madbouly.

The government has already finalized 4,200 units in the city, while work is ongoing on 624 units in the second phase, 7,680 units in the fourth phase, and 4,248 units in the fifth phase.

The ministry allocated more than 400 land plots for Beit Al Watan project in the eastern expansion of 15th of May.
