Gov’t Unveils Largest Offering of Land, Housing Units for 2018/2019

Minister of Housing Mostafa Madbouly has revealed details of the largest offering of housing units and residential, investment, and service plots for 2018-2019, which is currently being implemented and will be announced for registration within days, Invest-Gate reports.

Madbouly said that the development plan of New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) includes the issuance of a large number of land plots and housing units, providing the largest possible number of units through building on these plots.

Through NUCA’s plan, the Ministry of Housing aims to fulfill the people’s desire to own their housing units, increase the urban area, and fight against land trading and brokering.

The minister stated that the offering comprises about 76,211 residential and service plots in new cities, including 474 mixed-housing plots, 630 small residential plots for small investors, and 45 large residential plots with an area of 7,095 square meter for real estate investors.

The large plots will be offered via three different systems; partnerships, closed envelopes, and a set price.

The issuance also includes a total of 74,163 plots to be offered via public draws.

Additionally, it comprises 788 service plots in 18 new cities, 41 service plots in the “Social Housing” project, and 39 others in “Dar Misr” project.

Madbouly added that about 100,000 housing units will be offered successively in the new cities, including 43,133 units in “Sakan Misr” project, 35,016 units in “Dar Misr” project,  2,000 units in the first phase of the New Administrative Capital, 1,320 units in the Downtown area of New Al-Alamein City, 7,527 units in the Villas and Towers project in New Mansoura City, as well as  1,392 and 6,112 units in the distinctive housing project in New Mansoura City and New Al-Alamein City, respectively.

Madbouly said that 192,397 plots have already been offered in new cities, from 2014 until the end of 2017.
