A consortium of Hassan Allam Construction (HAC) and Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC) was awarded a new tender to the 29,249-square-meter extension of New Cairo’s Cairo Festival City (CFC) Mall, or “Festival Avenue,” Invest-Gate reports.

Under the joint venture, HAC’s scope of work includes all civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and external/landscape works for Festival Avenue, which features “a new design blending together nature and retail in a garden avenue,” as highlighted in the company’s official Linkedin page on December 16.

“The new extension will encompass around 100 stores, varying between retail and food and beverage (F&B), along with two entertainment centers creating a wonderful atmosphere for all,” read the announcement.

In December 2019, Al Futtaim Group Real Estate broke ground on east Cairo’s Festival Avenue, with investments exceeding EGP 2 bn, which will make CFC Mall the largest of its kind in Egypt upon completion, according to a previous official statement.
