The first phase of Egypt’s first underground hydraulic garage, Roxy Parking, is to be completed in August, Invest-Gate reports.
Whereas the second phase is expected to be completed in December 2018, Roxy Parking’s Chairman Mahmoud Farrag announced at BATIMAT on March 10.
The EGP 300- mn- project encompasses 10,000 square meters, composing four stories underground and can take up to 1,700 vehicles using MPS System, Metrotrans. Construction work has started since January 2014; but due to some delays on the part of Arab Contractors, the project was put on hold several times.
There are other underground garages underway across Cairo; two in Tahrir, in addition to others in Darrassa and Torgman. In total, all underground garages under construction would provide 3,550 job opportunities.
