Hilton Ponders to Run 25 Properties in Egypt by 2022

With a portfolio of 17 properties across Egypt, the leading global hospitality company Hilton has unveiled its ambitious plans to expand in the country and run 25 properties by 2022, Invest-Gate reports.

The US company served 802,545 guests in North Africa in 2017, “the majority of these being in its 17 strong Egyptian portfolio,” according to a released statement on October 24.

Hilton highlights its significant positive impact on local economies during its participation in the US Business Mission to Egypt held on October 24-25, which aims to showcase the remarkable Egyptian-US business ties and the US companies’ commitment to further boost bilateral ties and explore new business opportunities in the local market.

“We are honored to be part of the U.S. Business Mission this year as we strive to further expand our operations in Egypt,” says Vice President of Operations for Egypt and North Africa Mohab Ghali.

“Egyptian tourism has been recovering at impressive growth rates. Such promising performance was also reflected in Hilton’s growth and development in the Egyptian market; not only does Hilton open and sign new hotels, but our team members and our operations have always been very conscious and active contributors to the Egyptian community,” Ghali is quoted as saying.

Hilton is one of the major international hotel brands in Egypt, operating and developing five of its brands in the country, including Conrad, Hilton Garden Inn, Waldorf Astoria, DoubleTree by Hilton, and Hilton Hotels & Resorts.
