Hilton (NYSE: HLT) has partnered with Tharaa Misr for Real Estate Development to open the Hilton Garden Inn Borg El Arab Beach, set to welcome guests in 2028, Invest-Gate reports.
Located on Egypt’s Mediterranean coast, the new hotel will offer upscale accommodation in the growing Borg El Arab area, known for its pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters. The property will be just 30 minutes from Borg El Arab Airport and less than two hours from West Cairo.
Carlos Khneisser, Hilton’s Vice President of Development for the Middle East and Africa, highlighted Egypt’s growth potential, stating, “We are on track to more than double our portfolio across the country in the coming years. The North Coast is becoming one of the region’s most exciting summer destinations, and Hilton Garden Inn Borg El Arab Beach is a prime example of our expansion.”
The hotel will feature 135 guest rooms and suites, a lobby and pool bar, an all-day dining restaurant, four meeting rooms, a fitness center, and a gym. Guests will also enjoy an outdoor pool and direct access to the beach. The hotel will be part of Glee North Coast, a mixed-use development featuring recreational and commercial facilities.
Eslam Hashem, Chairman of Tharaa Misr, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, saying, “We are delighted to work with Hilton to bring their renowned hospitality to Borg El Arab, enhancing its reputation as a gateway to Egypt’s northern coasts.”
Notably, Hilton operates 14 hotels across Egypt, with 20 more under development, including Hilton Garden Inn Cairo New Zayed and Hilton Cairo Nile Maadi.
