Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities arrives at New Alamein City for an extended tour accompanied by ministry heads and the New Urban Communities Authority, Invest-Gate reports.
The tour included inspecting the various city projects such as the shore towers, the entertainment area, the Latin District, the Heritage City, and Downtown.
Minister El-Gazzar stressed on precautionary measures to protect workers on New Alamein City project from being infected with the coronavirus, compelling contractors to pay workers half their salaries for two weeks in case of construction stops. Moreover, El-Gazzar stressed that protecting the life of the workers is a top priority and that companies continued work is contingent upon strictly applying and adhering to the set safety measures.
El-Gazzar added that other companies that cannot provide the needed safety procedures must postpone their work for two weeks until the virus situation becomes less obscure.
